The Emmitt House, Truckee, CA

The house was built of reclaimed timbers from an old warehouse that was dismantled and then reconfigured to suite the design of this beautiful Lahontan Home, located in Truckee, CA.  Much of the interior fixtures are reclaimed sinks from the medieval period.  There is even an elevator.  Greg Faulkner of Faulkner Architects designed the guest house to be self contained and uses old cannon balls from the civil war as a design element through out the charming cabin.  A Lahontan home that proves that it’s the little details that count.  Located right on the golf course, the architecture of this house shines on both the inside and out.
