The Ferrari House, Truckee, CA

The Ferrari house in Lahontan, Truckee, CA is the quintessential house made of reclaimed timber and laid perfectly into it’s home site.  Greg Faulkner combined the lot topography and the design of the meandering house so perfectly it is hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.  The stone foundation and the reclaimed timbers meet perfectly in every situation.  The dual Gables add height between a passive solar front room looking out over the meadows at Mount Rose and Northstar Ski Resorts.
